I played @E.D 's beat in my car...all the screws rattled loose and my car fell apart. You gotta teach me how you get your drums to hit that damn hard! This is a really cool sound I'm not sure I've heard from you before. How you managed to have both soft/smooth/soulful AND keep big impact is wild. The trap style hats aren't my jam, but they fit this beat nicely. I think using two different crashes would help maintain the live drummer sound/feel, but that's a hyper nit-pick. These feels like the opening track of a Jay-Z record where he starts by just talking aimlessly then slips into som dope rhymes. In fact, I can hear a lot of legends using this an opening track to really set the mood for an album!
@P.A.T. - you've officially changed my mind on 808s. The glides, and tonal value that 808/bass adds to the beat is really nice. The vocal sample adds another layer of harmonic texture, then you got the plucked string type things going, and these subtle/delicate short piano counters. There's something to be said about a song, in a genre you don't gravitate towards, speaking to you. I think part of that is the craftsmanship of the beat and your sense of melody. Where I'd typically navigate away from "this style" of music, you make the parts (drums) that I don't are for secondary to the 'music' that sits on top of it. Nicely done!

Good battle and I liked your beat but really it couldn't went either way. I knew I would lose this battle when I choose to battle you. I just want the one point to be ahead of @2GooD Productions. I'm predicting to lost all my beat fights till the season is over with.@E.D Good battle! Could have easily went the other way!
