    ^^ true, I like to keep my shit as grimy as they come.. but when you are fucking with thriftstore records and every sample in your shit is snap/crackle/pop, then you got to clean some of it up.

    Cool Edit has always had one of the best click and pop remover plugs. I use it daily. also, the wavs plugs have the noise removal plug that helps

    actually if there is a click in a Kick - that is pretty easy to fix. Luckily Kicks can be edited without losing much. if you have a wav editing program like Cool Edit or whatever - just load the sample, and zoooooooom in until you can isolate the "click" to the millisecond. Then highlight...

    CE = Cool Edit I usually take a full song and chop everything I might ever use. Usually I'll get anywhere from 25-50 individual samples from a song. then I use FL's sequencer or piano roll to take it from there.

    well, I have no idea about now - but I read that in an interview he did as they were promoting Gnarls like two years ago. You are right though obviously, the engineers finish the product. but D.Mouse did say that he uses just the standard issue computer speaks he got with his dell.

    I had a pair of the Rokits and sold them about year and a half ago... shouldn't have. Looking back through my catalogue, the beats I made during that time were punchy and translated very well to cd.
