    i wanna get the MPC 2500 to do all my sequencing and sampling, and i want to use my Motif for its sounds, effects etc... i understand MIDI and know i could easily set the Motif up as a MIDI controller for the MPC. however, what im not clear on is how i would get the great sounds of the Motif...

    yeh an MV with a Motif is the perfect setup. dont get the MV if you get the ASR, its pointless.

    i say MV 8000 man, its a BEAST, it has so many more features than a motif and does all your mastering and cd burning. and iv got a motif. (great sounds btw) but it depends what you need for your style.

    its also good to cut out sections of acapellas, pitch em up, sync them with your drums and use that for the hook or a background sound. no this isnt kanyeezy typing. seriously it gives the beat character.

    trust me there is FIRE in the uk, its just very hard to find. dont see Dizzee Rascal as a uk hip hop act, no one considers him a real hip hop head, hes a garage/grime dude. we got some mad lyricists its just isnt easy for them to come through.

    u might wanna check out www.hiphopgame.co.uk it has a good source of audio and video from the UK. i would reccommend Reveal, Klashnekoff, Kyza, Rising Son... all got tracks on that site. as far as grime, im not heavily into it, but Wiley is probably the best after Dizzee. sAfE.
