    Speeding up to 160-180 BPM

So I've been reading a little on this forum and elsewhere about how a lot of southern producers will put their BPM up to 160 to do their drums in order to get crazier with the hi-hats and all that. I'm still a little lost on this idea so I'm hoping someone can help me out cause I'm definitely...

Production on Birdman/Lil Wayne's "Stuntin Like My Daddy"

Yeah class is right, the horns are pretty standard, definitely something you can do in reason (I use it also). Are you messing with the combinator? Try putting together the OctBrassEns patch (NN-XT Brass) with some other synths/brass...maybe even an organ turned down a little. If you have...

    criticism

other people's criticism of your stuff is cool, but the only way to make it big in this game is to be your own worst critic. the day you sit back and get complacent is when a hungrier kid knocks you off.

    take ya time

man, i take a long ass time on my beats. I use reason and FL, and i'm usually high, which slows things down a little, but before I'm really happy with a beat I'll spend a good 5-7 hours finding exactly what I want for the beat, sequencing, mixing, etc. i don't usually do it all in one sitting...

Step Sequencer in Sonar, Cubase, or Logic?

Right now I use FL 6.0.8 for my beats and I use a good mix of the step sequencer and piano roll for my beats. Although I know step sequencer is limited for melodies my drums are just so easy to do in there that it's something I don't want to give up. My question is, is there a similar...

    Worm Lead Synth

Try to cop Albino 3 VST. That thing is a beast and defintiely underrated, there are some presets on there that can be flipped into a worm pretty nicely. how much is that arturia minimoog? http://www.linplug.com/Products/Albino_3/albino_3.htm

"Ain't no future" West Coast Synth

no doubt man, I am. I don't want to give the impression that im expecting people to show me everything its just I am pretty much lost when I use those machines. I do play around with the knobs and levels and what not, but its not nearly to the point where I can really understand how to hear...

"Ain't no future" West Coast Synth

You guys know that real famous synth from the song "Ain't no future in yo frontin'" by MC breed? I know its been used in a bunch of stuff since and i'm wondering if anyone knows what machine it comes from and if there's a good way to replicate it in reason or FL.

    Panning with a sustained note

Is there any way to pan a note that's sustaining from left to right in FL? I know how to pan entire notes at once, but I want to know if you can make it do more than that.

    Fading instrument w/ ReWire

Does anyone know how I can fade, instead of just cut, a reason instrument when it's rewired into FL? Whenever I use an NN-XT patch for example, like a string or whatever, in the step sequencer, the string or whatever the sound is will just keep playing until I cut it with another note, and I...
