Audition FIRMLY. You have to buy all the filters separately in sound forge. Audition comes with a whole gang of shit that is pretty high level. Noise reduction and all sorts of other useful shit. DEFFINTLY go with Audition. -

putting bass on ur beats ?
Oh one more thing, try panning your bass tracks. Have them range from left to right. This will give you a wider sound. -

Do you have enabled pattern selection turned off? If its on, the track with the reddrum patter will trigger the reddrum AND the reddrum will play the pattern loaded in the bank. So basically your shit is getting played twice which can sometimes effect how it sounds. Try turning the enable... -
Not using quanitze in your beats.
I find that using quanitze set to 100% always sounds bad. I try and get it as good as I can natrually and then go like 50% or 60%. Shifiting the beats around a little does help to make it sound tight.
