    Thanks but that's a bpm counter which Serato and all DJ softwares do natively, it will not give you the beat grid info requested such as knowing where the first downbeat is.

    I use Serato DJ software. I understand what you're saying that I can match the snare of an incoming tune with the snare of the exsting tune but that still would not teach me what I wish to know concerning Intros, acapellas and slow tunes [to make mashups].

    I don't think so, if we can take a tune with a long intro like Diana Ross's "I'm coming out": Since there isn't a kick bass during the intro, is it possible to calculate a downbeat in the intro? If yes, how please?
