i was originally looking at either the maudio 410 firewire or the mbox 2 but this is a lot cheaper. my main focus with this is to reduce latency w/ reason when i record on cubase w/ my midi controller. it's got a midi port, firewire and some inputs for mics and instruments.

what do you guys think?

yeah i have the regular sb audigy 2 and have had many issues in my production.. but i paid 300 bucks for it initially and i expected no problems for 5 years at least

exactly...

Luckily, I can use my MBox as a soundcard...and I can switch my soundcard to the ASIO drivers...and I've had no problems thus far...
