Nice beat, no surprise, you don't disappoint. Props man. It reminds me some Italian horrorcore well, okay, there are definitely quite a few, so I'll take the opportunity to share some stuff from my area...

@BiggChev
So smooth, lovely. The intro setting the tone is very nice. Remarks for the guitar work - you playing guitar and bass, I bet! - the EP, the organ, the soft drums, the bass… Ok, everything is on spot here. Refined and tasteful.

@DJ BADMIRAL
Catchy and atmospheric, with nostalgic synthesizers, the piece is well-made. I believe it pays off in a competition due to its lounge vocation and the fact that, I mean, people chat over it while sipping their cocktails. Strategically, a piece that can be so easily used as background music might be penalized, especially because it relies on rather established foundations creatively, but the beatmaker certainly knows what they're doing.

@DJ Excellence
Even the winner is in quite a lounge and nostalgic territory. It must be a mood of the moment, not so far from your ’Stack’, dope too indeed. Although this is also a work that doesn't push for exploration and innovation, the beat is a gem. The strings and brass, layered over an already impeccable foundation, give it that extra touch of memorability, in my opinion. A professional track, as we have come to expect from this talented guy.

@E.D
Surely, the chill vibe has won over quite a few people this time around. I didn't manage to vote, I would have had a hard time. This is also a great beat, the bass and flute stand out, drums on spot and the production is solid, I love very much the change. Here too, the search for flaws leaves one without any footholds.

@Kane the MOD
I won't mention the chill/nostalgic atmosphere anymore, but damn, here we have a way of interpreting things that steps outside the safe confines of composition and takes risks with abrupt sample cuts and surprising changes. And it surpasses those risks brilliantly. The contrast between the orchestrations and the soft melodies with the sharp cuts and sudden changes is truly brilliant. It's a captivating piece. An extra touch of unpredictability.

@M.I.ndless
Drums at the beginning? Of course, they are spectacular. I love the intertwining of the guitars, so light and dreamy. I'm really fond of the work on the keyboards and the subtle swoosh. The ending is a bit abrupt, if I really have to be critical.

@MainellaBeats
Am I wrong, or is the overall quality this time particularly high? I would love to know what @Iron Keys thinks: it seems that all the mixing and mastering are top-notch. This one too. In a way, this piece deviates from the genre, and the short loop caught my attention right away. Mastery in the use of samples (are there instruments here)? Everything is perfectly integrated—the brass, the vocal parts. The hypnotic repetition of the loop, well, I always thrive on that and enjoy it like a hedgehog. I'm already a @MainellaBeats fan. Old school, yes, but certainly not old stuff. Pieces like this might not be suitable for winning a competition like this because they are those stunning and indispensable gems but lack the single's edge. Stunning work.

@MalakaBeats
I had read somewhere that many experimental pieces had been submitted, and I was wondering where they were. Here’s one. I really like the sounds, the minimalism, and the masterful use of negative space. Yet, it doesn't fully capture me. I feel like something is missing—either a lead instrument or some kind of surprising intervention. But there's no lack of craftsmanship, and in my headphones, the layering of the instruments is pro.

@MicroDotCotton
A work that oozes THC, slow beat, samples of stuff you might find on a 78 RPM record. The chops are placed perfectly. The bass has something dissonant; I don't know, it's absolutely stunning. This beat also suffers from a lack of an intervention that surprises us a bit at some point. There are some mute/unmute moments, a fill, but the second minute doesn't seem much different from the first. Love this anyway.

@Nebulune
Kind of footwork? I appreciate the creativity put into this, the vocal sample holds up well throughout, but once again, I reach the end without much happening over the course of the two minutes. The work on the beat is excellent, it certainly has taste, but the structure is a bit flat. Personally, for a piece like this, I would have chosen cleaner sounds for the drums, perhaps reserving the dirty and gritty sound only for the long synth.

@P.A.T.
Unusual chords, spy atmosphere, nostalgia, tremolo... is John Barry doing trap? Sounds, mix, spatialization, composition. It has all the style of @P.A.T. in this (new) spy phase. Here’s a beat that holds up for two minutes without needing anything else. Well done!

@Pcs shorty
Since I was contradicted by @Iron Keys (btw, where is your beat? There are quite a few heavyweights missing this time around, and some rookies I'd love to find, too), I've become quite hesitant to talk about sound quality. Here, I don't quite agree with the choices made. That bell-like sound is very prominent, the sample that holds everything together, I would have preferred it to be enveloping, with the other sounds "inside," but instead, I feel it is in the background. In my opinion, it should had a monumental, sumptuous, shining, crystal-clear, enveloping, dramatic sound. I like the composition, it's just that with this mix, it suffers a bit imho.

@them
I appreciate this minimalism, the kick on the quarter that is a kind of signature, and the dark vibe of your pieces, along with the inclusion of industrial-type noises. Nice. Since there are no evolutions, I also agree with cutting it to one minute (even though the cut was a bit abrupt). In your pieces, the fact that there are no major changes makes sense; the more hypnotic, the better. I would push for longer, psychedelic, affected sounds, something that evolves or with delays. If they were to be longer, just over 50 seconds is fine as it is.

@V.J. Retro
Well, with a bass like that, you win me over for sure. There were many ways to approach it, and you chose a restrained option, with soft pads. The effect of tension and alienation is nice, and that's enough to hold the piece together, which you wisely didn't stretch out too long. Just the drums in my headphones are a bit too loud.
