I'm finally boxing up my MPC 2000 being that I don't use her in the traditional way anymore. She had become nothing more than a midi controller and the only reason I kept her out was for the note repeat. I thought about getting the MPD32 but that's more of a control surface. I already have the AKAI APC 40 as my control surface the MPD 32 would have had too many features that I would never use not to mention my back up control surface is my Axiom 25. With the addition of the MPD 18 my production gear is stream lined and neat!

it arrived Tuesday and it's everything I had hoped for. Small, powerful and a great replacement for my MPC2k. Freed up some room on my table top and looks real nice along side my Akai APC 40. I'm actually thinking about grabbing an Akai midi keyboard now. Though my Axiom is also black it's only 25 keys and I'm more comfortable 49 so I've still been using my silver M-Audio keystation 49. Doesn't quite go with the decor now..lmao Fuck it 'em a neat freak!!!!
