Akai S5000 truncate samples issue

Greetings, Happy Holidays I am working with an Akai S5000 and a Emu SP-1200 connected together thru midi I am using the SP-1200 to play out the samples that are coming from the Akai S5000 and its audio going into the mixing board, When I play a single sample on the drum pad lets say twice it would play as a loop instead of it playing once and stopping once as a one shot. I believe that is a truncate setting on the setting but if you own a Akai S950 on up to the S6000 you know there is no specific truncate set up there is a selection in Program KG PITCH/AMP where you can semitone tune and fine tune and in the Program KGRP ZONES where you can select the playback as SAMPLE, LOOP UNTIL REL, LOOP IN REL, ONE SHOT, and No looping, but when I change those setting it doesnt change the way the sample is playing back it just does not play the sample at all if I set it to no looping, it is originally set to play : As SAMPLE. I would appreciate the help alot if someone who knows and uses this akai S5000. Thank you.

Hey hektek,
the problem is that the SP1200 is not a very good controller for triggering a sampler (especially something as sophisticated as a S5000). When you press a key on the SP, it's a fixed duration, it's one fast tick, one quick millisecond note on message.
That's why it's not triggering the sound with loop off.
Set it to one shot and you should be good to trigger. Normally to loop you need a longer duration, so doubt you can loop sounds triggering from the SP unless you put a real long decay on the S5000.
I've had the SP12 and the S950, so if you need help, PM me.

that didnt resolve the issue. It has to be a setting within the s5000, Im sure that all akai music production gear that samples can be set that way its just that the s5000 is an older model and harder to find the truncate setting.
