Best Mic Pre/Compressor

Sup yall, I'm looking for a good mic pre under or around $200. I was looking at the Presonus Blue Tube, and the Dbx mini-pre, but was told that they are not very good.
I am now looking into the Joemeek brand of pre's (mc3q, mc6q...etc.) as I was told they are the best value for the $$.
You guys have any suggestions...?

There the VTB1 by studio projects under 200 which has valve pre amping, www.studioprojectsusa.com

Joemeek also has the VC2, 5 1/3 big which you can mount in the pc, also under 200. I couldn't find it at the thoughdo. I had checked recently.
