changing TEMPO of ENTIRE song

yo what up fam

whats the esiest, quickest and most effective method of making an ENTIRE song FASTER/SLOWER.

i could simply up/down the BPM but then all my samples would be either too low or too high in tune. do i have to change the bpm and then work out what the equivelant TUNE change is for the BPM change i have implemented and then change the tune of ALL my samples to accomodate????????????????

surely there is a better way!!!!!???

i though you mentioned before that u had wavelab.... i dont have wavelab but im 99.9% positive that you can easily do it in there... just import track and im sure on the menu somewhere its usually called either "time strech" or "change duration" and u got an mpc right? u can do it on there too.. just read up on time strcehing in ur manual and i think if you do google serch u can find the precise formulas but you dont really need them since you want to change he entire song

Easy - well sort of,check it....

Well to start of with i have to assume you are using a sampler right maye even a MPC og SP right?
Well if that be the case i would start of with cutting all my samples into bits and pieces.
When i cut up my instrument/music loops i cut them the same way i would cut a drum beat.
Anytime there is a significant rhytmic change in the soundfile you cut it.
So if you have like a straight 8 bar loop you might have to cut it into anything between 16 & 32 parts..
Sometimes more, depending on if it be a 16note or 16triplet quantazised beat.
It`s a bit tricky to explain but once you get in the mindstate of cutting a sample into as many bits as possible and then replay it manually.
You can then change the tempo and the sampler should shorten them or lenghten them to fit the BPM you have set.

holmzini.....ive found that time stretching makes it sound shit. undesired effects.

ezion....i do cut all my samples up but it sounds like lots of work to resize all my shit


any more suggestions.
