cleaning vocals up, in cool edit

sup everybody, I have some of my cousins vocals that were recorded on a digital mixer, and i wanna know is it possible to import them in a program like cool edit and clean em up and mix them better with a new beat. Also to anybody that has cool edit, how can i get this program.

Clean'em up?...not really GIGO, garbage in, garbage out. You may be able to filter out somethings, but if the original sounds like ass, so will the "clean" version...And if you want cool edit...buy it...lol...but somehow Cubase is much better, but also much cheaper...how the fuck does that work out...ah well...
