There's so much better and cheaper software on PC nowadays I dont even know why anybody would want a Mac. But anyways I think the best wave editors on for a Mac are Bias Peak, and TC Works Spark. Check those out, I'm not sure if they have multi-track like Cool edit but it should have most of the wave editing features. Good luck.
