Not exacly 'hip hop', but check out this instrument:

This guy redesigned the way saxophones are built: tone hole placement and boring, fingering, body and neck shape, mouthpiece chambers...

The contra model is in the key of C (like a piano or flute), most saxes are in either Eb or Bb.

They go for only $9500 for the model made of silver, brass and steel:bawling:

No, just the pictures. I assume that it will sound like a normal saxophone as it is made of the same material, just the fingerings are different.

That things crazy looking!...It looks like tha deep space 9 sax or some shit!.....Dope craftsmanship though. Real nice looking but i cant play a lick of sax...jus guitar and a little piano.
