cutting other acapellas over your own songs

ideally, i know that if youre going to scratch any acapella over your own song to add accents, you need to clear the sample but my question is do many of the smaller, more obscure indy labels do this? od do they just put it out and see what happens?

They usually dont mess with you if you aint doin it real big. I thought it was 100,000 though. maybe it's 75. I dont know.
