decent drums with software

Can anyone tell me a good software program to do drums with? I am working with Acid & Cool Edit now but I can't seem to do drums that sound official. The problem is I want to be able to add drums with a touch of a button, not drag & drop. Fruity loops setup is ok, but my samples never loop correctly in there. I searched and read the posts about doing drums with software, but I didn't find an answer.

Get Reason Or Cubase or Logic etc etc. Get a Akai MPD 16 to punch in your drums like a MPC and buy or make some drum kits. Doing drums in software should be no different than doing them on hardware, You get the same results. You load weak kits you get weak drums on anything you workin on.

if u wan to add drums with a touch of button, yeah ur gonna need some external hardware, liuke an mpc or mpd, if u wanna save money, then just keep your fl setup, and program the drums. for looping try chopping your samples a lil bit too long..and fucin wit the release/sustain buttons . i used to have fruity loops and had no problem getting my samples to loop right.

young le, why aren't your drums looping properly in Fruity Loops?? It's very easy to create a simple loop. Tell us your process of trying to do a loop - we can try to help you figure out Fruity Loops rather than recommend all kinds of other software and hardware to you. If you dive into bigger programs than Fruity Loops it's going to be much more difficult for you to handle those programs, seeing how you're having a hard time with Fruity Loops to beging with.
