Manji - "they have discontinued the MPC 3000 in favor of the new MPC 2000 a similar model but not quite the same features". thus, the Mpc 2000 is newer than the Mpc 3000. The MPC 1000 is the latest in the Akai MPC range of samplers/MIDI production centers. the brand new MPC 1000 from Akai was launched on september 16th.
