Best Duo In Hip Hop

I just want see who you guys think the best duo in hip hop is

I think it's Outkast ...Four albums an all four platinum an originall sound and a unique style make them the best group or duo in hip hop today they're the reason the south is really on the map right now...And whenever you can Go to a PG rated movies soundtrack(scooby doo) make a video with shagy somking weed in the van and not get any negative feed back shows just how much they are respected...And the production team happens to be one of the best ever!!Orginized Noize has been putting it down from southerplayalistic Caddiliacfunkymuzik to So fresh so clean...They also have a grammy under their belt with the Whole World Also when a production team can go from Bombs over Baghdad to Ms Jackson and get the same acceptence says a lot these guys are accepted by the hood and the suburbs a true super group......This is just my opinion if anyone else feels that there is a better group or duo please feel free to post

I forgot to add that if you count their Greatest hits album (Big Boi and Dre Presents} makes five and I'm not quite sure on the numbers of that one , and be on the look out for their next album it will be a double album I'm not sure of the title

Outkast----Hip Hop ICONS

Of course you have to also mention Gangstarr. Premier and Guru are a perfect match. They never fail together because they complement each other very well.

Gangstaar for several reasons :

-they redefined the sound of rap in the late 80's/early 90's with their jazz sampling approach
-Preemo proved that you could use scratching in rap records, even if you aren't the best turntablist on earth ,and still sound dope
-Guru's voice which is truly unique
-Preemo's mixing skills
-but most importantly : their chemistry

I will of course always reminisce over Gangstarr and Pete Rock & CL Smooth, but their style isn't current and even though they still make some banging joints, they aren't really innovative.
Therefore, if we are talking currently, they can't claim the throne.
Mobb Deep is up there too, but if I have to look at the whole picture and take everything into consideration, my pick will probably Outkast too...

outkast is the most outstanding of them all -- you gotta give respect where it's due -- just because they don't sound like gangstarr or pete rock & c.l. smooth doesn't mean that they weren't a talented hip hop group

amongst the other dope groups though -- i was glad to see mobb deep was mentioned -- how about 8ball & mjg too??? -- i know y'all don't listen to every form of hip hop, but they are dope also --
i recently found this duo on the net -- they are pretty nice in my opinion too

Weren't talented?????They're not over the hill yet my man!
Million are yo sure you not just try to get your people heard A Little Love was a nice track over all from beat to rhymes but this group can't stand next to the ones mentioned if they are your people that have a lot of talent

Fade and Phill - I respect the fact that you guys think Gangstar is the best duo in hip hop .....They were the best duo in hip hop at one point for me to say they weren't would be other than the truth But I feel their time has come and gone Primo is still an ill producer just when you think that there can't be anything else to sample he hits you right in the neck with some hot shit he's probally the best sampling producer ever

Haz---Mobb Deep are welll respected by me and a lot of others but I feel that they are far from the best all albums were classics espically the one with quite storm on it but they lack something that can put them over the top...Like when they did hey love it wasn't them nice song but it just wasn't something for Mobb Deep
I think that they're just too ruff around the edges....

Copenhagen-----Pete Rock and Cl Smooth good choice but with two albums can't make much noise with that though I loved that album and stil play it today I even have it on vynil

inrctyhoodmusic -- u mistake my words -- i'm not saying that outkast is overwith and done -- and i never compared that group i mentioned to any great duo's -- how can you compare them to groups who already have successful track records -- all i'm saying is that in given time, you can't deny that they will drop heavy -- just listen to their lyrics/delivery -- by far they sound more seasoned than any underground lyricists i've heard -- but to each his own

and when you say duo -- i was thinking more along the lines of two lyricists -- not a lyricist and a producer -- both takes are different in respect

Yo, how could I forget...EpMd! They're right up there...somewhere.
Also, I know they haven't got much under their belt, but Black Star...Mos and Talib are 2 very talented people.
Whilst thinking of who would be up among the best, I tried searching my mind for duo's and found possibly the worst...Timbaland and Magoo. Many good things can be said about Timbo's beats...but those 2 as rappers...!?!

Copenhagen I totally forgot about EpMd and mos def and talib kweli were what you call a super group of great thinkers and rational minds I like those two guys they are few rappers that deliver messages in their music today

I'd have to say in all the madness and bullshit occuring in modern day mainstream hip hop Method Man and Redman are the sickest tag team of mc's.

Also in a crazy messed up world of bling bling video game sounding music all over the radio Eminem never lets me down with one lyric let alone one song with the assistance of Dr. Dres beats No one can ever fuck with this invinsible duo fuck opinion that is a fact

talib and mos def are sick as fuck too but a combination like Eminem and Dre comes a long once in a life time. If you disagree with them bein one of the best duos u are just plain hating cuz no one comes up wit shit like them u should bow down

When duo was used it was ment for some sort of group that has done an album together!!! em and dre are a great dou but they haven't released an album together and method and redman they can't compare in my opinion as great a duo as outkast

I know they were in a large group, but what about Chuck D. and Flavor Flav? They were an amazing 1-2 punch.

Or Rob Base and DJ EZ-Rock? LOL.

Eric B. & Rakim?
