Is it because im fairly new at this or should i get a midi keyboard. ihave a HARD time writing out drums on Fruity Loops. they just never really BANG. amybe i just need somethingt o play it on.

When I first started making my own drums and bass I went threw about a year phase of just finding breaks I liked and chopping them into one shots for fruity loops. If your too lazy to make your own there is allways drum kits your can find in various places online or cds of drum sounds you can purchase. I found once I got more drums sounds I personally liked it was easier to get the sound I wanted.

layer if your friend, if their not banging, you are going to have to edit, them, layer them, spice them up, their not gonna bang all by them self, find like a real good kick then layer it up wit a 808 or a higher end kick and see.

also where do you get your drums from, if you use the preset drums that come with fruity no wonder. just sample or do what josh does.
