Fading instrument w/ ReWire

Does anyone know how I can fade, instead of just cut, a reason instrument when it's rewired into FL? Whenever I use an NN-XT patch for example, like a string or whatever, in the step sequencer, the string or whatever the sound is will just keep playing until I cut it with another note, and I just want to know how it can fade nicely once it's released.

Someone on here mentioned automation clips to do this, but even after reading through the FL manual on automation clips I'm still lost. can anyone help or is there another way to do this?

Being that you are rewiring I think you have to do it at the mixer( FL mixer)where you
have the reason patch playing .Right click on the volume Fader and pick
Create automation clip. This control the volume of the whole track.
but will not do much help fading note like want.

I think use a delay plugin will help more.
Try inserting Fruity Delay 2 on insert channel where reason is
set feedback to normal
adjust feedback vol and time setting
