whats up yall, I finally got my computer upgraded so im now looking to buy a sound card i was interested in the m-audio firewire 1814 now my computer has 2gb of ram and a pentium 4 and has all the requirements needed to run m-audio m powered protools and the firewire 1814 my only problem and concern is that my computer only has usb ports no firewire connections and i wanted to know what could i do about this? is it possible to adapt firewire ports to my pc internally or externally?

Yep, i have the firewire 410 and had the same issues
just get a fiwire PCI card, if attaches to your motherboard, (just like a soundcard). It usually has 4 firewire slots. I would reccomend this even if u did have a firwire port on your computer casue i have more then 1 firwire device and this allows for expandabiltity... You can cop one at best buy. You can get one for your laptop tooo
