firewire hub for mini mac

Hey wassup everybody, I'm thinking about getting a mini mac. but i noticed it only has 2 usb and 1 firewire, and since the 2 usb's will be for a mouse and keyboard and the firewire will be for my soundcard. I know i'll need more ports, so i can hook up a external hard drive and a midi controller. So my my question is is it a good idea to use one of the firewire hub adapters for my studio, Do any of you use them, and is there any problems with them. Thanks

a firewire hub is cool

but keep in mind that you can buy wireless keyboard and mouse (so no usb use) and you can chain firewire devices (I would not recommand chaining like 4-5 devices but 2 is ok).

ok, thanks, I think i going to use the wireless keyboard and get the hup to my hard drives on.
