FL and MPD Help needed

The biggest problem I am currently having is that when I chop up a sample with the Fruity Slicer and try to play it out on my MPD I have to hold the pads down and wait for the sample to end. Is there any way that I can possibly have the whole sound play out completely as soon as I hit the pad?
I know it plays out completely in the FPC but im asking about the Slicer because that's the only way I can adjust the pitch and do some time stretching in FL.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

go to the INS section of the channel settings, uncheck the orange box next to where it says TIME, then go to the MISC section and set the max polyphony to 1
