FL Question

Quick question, do anyone know if it's possible to have the different channels - drum,kick,snare etc.. in fl studio matched to different keys on my midi keyboard so that i can use it like a hardware drum machine? (I'm using v5 btw)

go to midi options

where it says omni preview midi channel set that to a midi channel, like one or two

your controller will have to be on that channel then you can have each sound on a different key
then when you want regular control over a single sound jus change the channel

if you got FL5 use the FPC it's the shit. if not just get a layer channel and do it that way.

can the fpc send each sample to a different channel
if you use the omni midi mode you jus drop your samples in the channel as usual
then whatever midi channel you set up as omni you switch your controller to that and find your sounds on the board, they will be right next to each other

you could use the layer feature,but i think it's easier to jus use omni preview
mabey that's cuz i don't really understand the layer thing

it seems like everything would be triggered at the same time, am i confused
