how to connect midi

I got an old school keyboard that I want to use instead of usin the keys of laptop keyboard to play notes. I have a tascam us-122 hooked up to my keyboard and laptop..
all the midi options are enabled
I have the remote set to the tascam
outputs are set to port 0
controller type is in generic
master sync output is on tascam too

I'm hittin keys and not gettin sound..

you have a channel/synth loaded up? its probably something with your software config.

and how are your midi cables set up?

cables go from the keyboard to the tascam box to the cpu

make sure the tascam drivers are loaded, got to FL Studio MIDI Menu and click auto accept controller.
