irc/chat

I was looking around and couldn't really find any good chats or ircs that were hip hop oriented. I find it hard to believe that one of the most popular forms of music out there doesnt have some decent chats, or better yet, some rooms for producers to chill in on late night sessions between takes.

Anybody have any suggestions?

i don't think hip hop heads or producers really use irc. that's more for gamers and warez. not saying that hip hop heads or producers don't use irc. they probably do. but i doubt there would be chatrooms dedicated to that.

so. sorry. i would have no idea.

I think it was underground hip hop . com used to have a set of chat rooms and they were somewhat occupied when I visited, but I was apparently told that its current state was the end of a decline. Even if that was the case there was still about a dozen or so people in each of the main rooms.

The shout box sounds great, and Im not knocking becoming a vip member, Im too new here, but it seems it would be maybe more traffic if it was open to all registered users?

Again, I'm too new here to make a judgment call, just saying.
