i see alot about mpc's but nothing on mics or mic placement. recording vocals... etc.... i just purchased an AVALON 737 for the studio... and i'm in love with the quality... you got to leave it on for a few hours.. and use the hi gain..
but if you have the chance and the studio u go has one run your vocals through it u wont be disapointed

themucka, goto the lab forum and look at the thread called "for all those who record instruments" and d/l studio buddy. It will give you a good idea on mic placement...blah blah blah
