word up everyone-
i just purchased an hp zd8000:
- pent 4 3.2 ghz
- xp home
- 1 gig Ram
- 100 gig Hd
-firewire
-usb 2.0

i'm looking for a solid desktop recording system to link together my computer and my equipment. i will continue using my mackie mixer so obviously this would be taken into consideration. the way i look at it, i want to have options so that i dont become limited later for what i can plug in. to give you an idea of what i'm working with here's a list:
- roland fantom-s
- mpc 4000
- cdj1000
- mackie dfx-12 mixer
- rode nt1
-event tr-8 monitors
-krk rp-5 monitors
-sennheiser hd 280 pro headphones
-sonar 4 producer, fl, sound forge, reason

the two that i'm looking at so far are the:
lexicon omega desktop recording studio http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/search/detail/base_pid/245505/
and
PreSonus Firebox 24-bit/96khz firewire recording system

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR INSIGHT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
happy new years everyone- Sub Conscience
