Livid Base II MIDI Controller

I was recently watching this video


and all I was thinking was "damn I want that controller". I've never seen it before but it seems to be a nice piece of hardware, that wasn't build for one particular DAW. So I started digging and found out it's the Livid Base II Midi Controller for like 300$. Now some reviews say it's an amazing controller and others say it's total bullshit because the mapping is just a pain in the ass, will take several hours and you can't even save it.

That's why I wanted to ask some producers here, if anyone's got some experience with this controller and can tell me, if it's worth buying it for using it with Reason 8 (both for productions and for playing live)?

Never heard of this controller but if Reason has mappings for it then it should be fine. Are you using Reason now?

Years ago I had the Akai MPD and found it very difficult to work with because it was just a controller with not much to it. A pain to map stuff.

I do, yes. I figured out Reason does have presets for LIVID controllers, so this should be good. But if anyone knows how the workflow is, let me know. I appreciate every info
