Logic 9 Hyper Edit

I've been reading tutorials on how to use the hyper edit as a step sequencer but Im getting lost. Anyone know how to do it or have a template of it?

What is your question more specifically? Why not use ultrabeat for step sequencing? Hyper edit is SO old school and not old school in a cool way.

From what I saw...you have more room for the drums. Ultrabeat only offers 32 steps. Wanted more so I didnt have to drag my pattern to arrange mode,erase ultrabeat and make the next set.

32 steps at a time, you can have multiple instances.

tru...do you use the hyper edit? I dont see any other reason to use it.
