yo i was just having a conversation with my grandmother. she used to be a hippy back in the day. took hella drugs and shit lol. still smokes weed lol.

anyway there is something that interests me about the hippies. not the fact that they took hella drugs. not the fact that they had hella sex.

basically i was attracted to the fact that they were like the first group of people who went out on a limb and broke the mold. people say shit like "hippies are smelly and hug trees" n shit but yo i give mad respect to them for thinkning for themselves and not just being a bunch of sheep.

i reckon it would have been a dope (no pun intended) revolution to be involved in. id love to have been a hippy just runnin around going crazy and rebelling. i reckon its cool that they were just like "fuck this rat race, lets just chill together"

True indeed I agree. Nowadays everyone is too stuck on being flashy and whatnot. Too busy frontin. I'd be nice if people would just be real.

technically correct.

the "i dont give a fuck" attitude was like their way of rebelling but in the end they gave up cos they werent making the social changes they wanted...so they said "i dont give a fuck" meaning the exact opposite of what they originally meant. then they proceeded to fit into the mold.

i think they did make a change...big changes....but tnot overthrow the government size changes. id still love to live a day in the life of a hippy.

up here in BC theres hella hippies doin protests all the time still. anti logging, anti government policies and that kinda thing. mostly on the small islands but lots on the bigger islands and on the mainland too.
