low noise cpu fans/heatsinks

well my boy installed a new heatsing and fan on my cpu cuz my other one was dying, and its cool n shit except for the noise level of it, its considerably higher than my old one and u can def hear it in the background when im recording vocals, does anyone know the make and model of a good silent heatsink/fan for their cpu? i got an amd athlon xp 2400 chip i think thats socket A

If they do the trick and keep it cool, you might consider getting an isobox for your computer. Expensive, but you might want to build your own even. Just an alternative thought.

i ended up getti nthis http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=990808&CatId=792 . if it wasnt for them cool light, you wouldnt be able to tell the things on at all, its dead silent, i highly recomend

If your recording in the same room try to divide the room...You can use blankets and hang em from the ceiling thats the easiest way you may have to use a bunch tho..also if your mic has a switch to change the recording pattern it may help too set it off omni directional to cardiod and position the mixc accordingly...or you could always record in another room.
