monitor speaker pop

is it normal that monitor speakers have a tiny pop when you turn them on? or shoudl there be no sound at all? i have all my levels down and turn on everything before my monitors and was just wondering if its normal to hear a tiny pop.

MINE ALWAYS POP, I KEEP EM ON 24/7 NOW, THEY ALTEC LANSING COMPUTER SPEAKERS BUT IM SURE ALL POWERED SPEAKERS POP WHEN U TURN EM OFF/ON

Equality, if you still have the Behringer ones like me, I spoke to my local store regarding the speakers lighting up the limit button when you switch them on, and they said as long as it's just for a second and it turns off again immediately, then it is quite normal. Don't know if it's true.
Depending on how abruptly I turn mine on, they can make a tiny pop sound.

na i swapped the berringers for krk rokit 8

my berringers used to POP/BANG!!!!!!!. my krk's just pop. you can only hear it if your ear is next to the speaker.

was just wondering if this was normal.

I think it's quite normal. You're amplifier and passive speakers would do the same when you switched on the amplifier.
