Ghostface New Album, Wu-Tang Reunion
Jan 10, 2006
Story by: Rebecca Raber

Cherchez La Ghost? Look no further. On February 28, former Wu Tang Clan member Ghostface will release his fifth solo album, Fishscale, on Def Jam. The Ironman (né Dennis Coles) has lined up a prime roster of imaginative, top-drawer producers for this new one, including MF Doom, J Dilla and Pete Rock. This being a Def Jam release, the collaborations don't end there. Many of the album's nineteen tracks feature guest performances by artists like Raekwon and Cappadonna and the lead single, "Back Like That," finds the Staten Island rapper teaming up with smooth R&B singer-songwriter (and labelmate) Ne-Yo.

Ghostface will also be busy touring this winter and spring. If you live in New York City, you can catch his solo date at the Nokia Theater on February 6 with Fort Minor. Otherwise, from February 7 through the 19, he'll join the rest of the Wu Tang Clan for a brief reunion tour. Then his own Fishscale Tour, featuring M1 of Dead Prez and Sam Scarfo, begins March 5.

Tentative Tracklist For Fishscale:

Gotta get hold of this - Ghost always comes through. He was always my favourite Wu- Tanger since back in the days of 36 Chambers. Mad voice, crazy abstract lyrics and can flow with the best of 'em. Only thing that let him down recently is that some of the beats weren't up to scratch but I reckon this album might be special.

Cheers

1st show I went to they performed at a teen night in Jersey...36 chambers had just come out...Ghost had a mask on his face and everything....shit was official.

I also went to their album release parties for both "The W" and "Iron Flag" at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC.

"The W" show was the one when ODB was on the run from the cops for escaping from the rehab center...they had just finished a song and all you heard was the intro for "Shimmy Yall"....the crowd starts buggin out lookin around and shit...then outta nowhere here comes "Big Baby Jesus" in a big ass orange coat wit an orange skully and a bottle jumpin on stage talkin bout "UH BABY I LIKE RAAAAW"

He single handily turned that bitch into a mosh pit.....then they went right into "Triumph"...
one of the greatest songs of all time.
