Ok stupid question time ..

When I load a sample into fruity slicer it it asigns beat 4 to like pad 7 on my MPD. How do I asign beat 1 to pad 1 and beat 2 to pad 2 etc, etc. Sorry if this has been posted before, i did have a look. :)

On the mpd, i think you would have to change each pad to correspond with a piano keyboard. Like pad 1 being c3, pad 2 being d2 or whatever you want, I'm not positive though

heh heh..."noob slicer"...sounds like a piece from a norwiegan cutlery set...

word. i don't use fruity but i can try to offer some help.
maybe someone can refresh me but i think the mpd comes with software that saves presets. if so, remember that you only have to set it all once and then save the preset. if not, i'm not sure what to tell you.

one thing to think about is having the sounds not necessarily in order of pad number, but in order of comfort. once you start banging pads a lot you'll develop preferences for where you want your drums mapped.

Yeah, You got to use the software that came with that MPD to change the key assignment on the pad. I know you maybe using FL Slicer but you may want to use some other software to slice ( Cool EDit. Recycle, Sound forge) It much easier I think. Peace
