I really like the drums on this. The pattern, and the tone are great. I think they'd be better served tucked in a bit more in the mix. The reason why I think so, is the sample chops are soo smooth and silky. I really like how you worked the sample. Also, that squelchy g-funk sounding bass could use a bit more shine. Aside from mix choices, this is a really cool flip!

The janky, un-quantized, Dilla feel is phenomenal. The sizzle and hiss you have on the track is great too. This is the type of hip-hop I wish I could make. Being able to capture the groove and vibe is really difficult for me, so I appreciate how well you did it. While this has that golden era, jazzy, boom-bap aesthetic, there's also a sort of "alternative" feel to it. I also really like the sparseness and space - lets the whole track breathe nicely and would give lots of room for an MC. Dope!
