I've been using Reason for only 6 months and im really new to the production game, but im getting my game up. The question i had to ask is in reason when i have a sample in the NN-XT i want to play around and make a melody out of the same sample but just different pitches. In the NN-XT i solo the sample but instead of the pitch just changeing it speeds up the sample. I wanted to know is thier any other way to just change the pitch and not the speed.I'm new too this site so sorry if this question already came up but i would appreciate the feedback.

Currently i haven't found a way to do that, but i usually use Sonar for time stretch or to change the pitch.

Aight cool i guess reason needs to add that later in thier next REason, but i have to ask.....are thier any websites that talk about the art of time stretching, cuz when i time stretch im not really sure how far to stretch it exactly.....and when im off it feels tidious going back and fixing it, im basically going into it blindly

the art of time stretching?

nah... just stretch that shit to match ur current tempo.

and reason is not in the wrong for speeding up the sample to change its pitch, thats how all wav forms are transposed (unless they are time stretched)
