What up everyone--

I had a few questions about Reason. The first one is how do you drop the drums in a recording? I have a part of my beat where I dont want drums, and I can take them out, but I have to do it each time I play the beat? Is there any way that I can make that a permanent change so I dont have to press buttons each time I playback the beat? I want to be able to record right to a cd and have everything in there (drops, fills, etc.) The second one is, can you record right to CD from Reason through the computer or is it not compatible with WAV?

Thanks guys,

Peace

Right click the Redrum machine while the midi selector is on the drum track.
Select 'Copy to Track' from the rightclick menu.
on the redrum machine ensure the 'Enable Pattern Protection' light is not lit.
then hit play
u should see the drum sequence u can select and delete any parts you dont want to play.

yo g-boy!

yeah...you can export tha whole song>L to E....or you can just export the loop - thats what i do>L to R.
Plus the cool thing about reason is you have the option to export as an aif also intead of just a wav file...this is nice being that an aif. file has better sound quality...
later you can open nero or whatever burning software you have and simply load the wav or aif. files you exported and burn them right onto disc!!...pretty dope being that you can literally have a demo quality product straight out of your house huh!?
Plus, its actually a good thing to burn your music and listen to it several times and maybe even burn it again to dial in your mix...
thats what i do, i like to listen to my tracks inside my car, then later in my md player then at home on my cd player and so forth...that way you can hear whats lacking or whats overpowering...if your lucky or extreamly talented you wont have to do this, but your first mix almost never is perfect....

hope that helped along with my predecesors....

peace. steeze....

my bad...i jus realized i didnt actually connect a reply to your post and intead started a new one...whatever.
