The first one is really my kind of track; it's 6:45 in the morning here, just perfect. The fourth beat is another favorite of mine, featuring your usual grittier sound. The sixth too, with the soft hi-hat parts against the tough vocals, is awesome. And great work on the drum samples in the closing. Keep em coming!

@Tiny Chops
I love the drums on this! The “Dilla” feel and that natural “push-n-pull” is really well done. Letting them drop out to let the sample shine then bring them back in was also a nice touch. There’s also a crunchy sound to them that serves the whole beat really well - I appreciate that the kick isn’t too subby. I feel like I would’ve EQ’d all the box and grit out - of high would completely take away from the texture of the beat you created. Sample choice is great and the chops are super smooth. What’s really cool is that you preserved the ‘natural’ and ‘live’ feel of the sample. It has this Roots sound of “is it a sample or a band.” The vocal chops are really tastefully placed and it’s dope how you used some as accents on the down beats. The structure and arrangement makes this sound like a “song” rather than just a “beat.” Mix wise, this is one of my fav mixes from you. Historically, I feel like you give the majority of the space to drums, so I like that you gave the Melodics more shine. Really happy to see you hitting the showcase 2 weeks in a row and giving us some dope vibes!

@DJ Excellence
Stop showing off! This is perfect! Mix is great and the blend of energy from the beat and vocals works really well…I just wish it was 3-4 minutes long. Just as I was getting the foot tapping, and the head nodding, it ends. Dope!

@JECHO
Great mix considering it was done with IEMs! I have to commend you on the work ethic and output. Weekly beat tapes is something I could never do. The second beat is pure Nas, story telling vibes. I like how you’ve been working themes (sample choice and vibes) with these weekly beat tapes. There’s a ton of soul and character in these beats. I thought the hats on beat 3 were a bit too stiff and monotonous. While I like the sound and texture of them…a bit too straight ahead and may benefit from some velocity or ADSR changes. Beat 4 didn’t really speak to me at first, but listening back, I think it may be my fav. You lost me on beat 5…mostly because I hate trap lol. Cool proof of concept though. The glitchy, distorted finish to the tape really speaks to your brand of uniqueness I’ve really come to enjoy. While not my “jam” I can’t deny the artistic/creative liberties you take. Keep these tapes coming!

@Tomblr
How am I ever going to make a local name for myself if you keep making bangers for rappers from my city?!? lol. Between the Beat Fights, your sick beat tapes, and rapper collabs…I think you have a un-debatable work ethic. I can’t explain it, but the old school, havoc/alchemist sample
Choice with your chopping style is comfortably familiar AND refreshing. Simple and effective…I enjoyed this CzA track.

“Leave With You” is one my fav beats from you! You balance chill, dark, eerie, and energy really well with this. I think a bit of reverb/delay on the vocals would really add to the overall atmosphere of the beat, but it sounds good as it is. I think it would give more of an ephemeral quality to it is all.
