Sound Molding Help

I might be trippin', but when I listen to "Disco Inferno" and "How We Do" by Dre, I hear a "blowing" or "air" effect on some of the sounds.

Even if Dre didn't make a "blowing" sound does anyone have a suggestions on how to create that type of sound? Reverb? Resonators? Compressors?

Anyways: I'm not sure but I think the effect is created with reverb. Slight reverb might give certain feeling you got...


Someone, who knows, should write an article about these tricks which do not have a major effect in the sample basically, but still gives a feeling that it is important!?
