I don't know if you cats have seen what's goin' on down here in Miami/South Florida on the news, but hurricane Wilma was one angry bitch with a mean upper cut. She was supposed to be a category 1 storm according to the forecasters at the National Hurricane Center but Wilma ended up being a 3. Everyone prepared for a 1, which in most cases means you might lose power for a day or two. Today is day four. We gots...no power....no water.....no phones, the shit is crazy. There are as of this morning some 300,000 people with power and another 5 million still waiting. The official word is that by November 22nd everyone should have their power restored.
During the hurricane tiles were flyin' off the roof of my crib, my Direct TV dish got beat the phuck up, then it finally gave way and hit a tree about 2 feet from my neighbor's vehicle. A sabal palm tree fell on my whip, another neighbor's vehicle (Mini Cooper) got flipped over. There are no working traffic signals, power lines are down in the middle of the road, people in line anywhere from 3 to 6 hours for gas. The stores that are operating are doing so by generator, and basically runnin' out of food. I've run out of meat to slap on the grill, so now I'm reduced to cans of Chef Boyardee and shit.
But nonetheless I am thankful. After seeing what my brothers and sisters in New Orleans went through I'm not complaining, just stating the facts.

Stay up man. I haven't really been paying attention to this hurricane. I get paid tomorrow, and I'll be making a donation. Stay grindin man, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks for the words. I'm just mad 'cause I can't catch what's on the tube, can't work on any tracks, it's a problem. The curfew on the other hand is not a problem. The whole city is shutdown, no lights, no power, nowhere to go.
