Strange reverb with cubase/cakewalk

Whenever I load up cakewalk or cubase, all the sounds on my keyboard have reverb. I don't know if its my sound card, or if cubase and cakewalk magically apply it at startup.. help me out! buggin the hell out of me!

That's kinda weird! My guess would be that it's your keyboard because I've never heard of Cubase or Cakewalk doing that.

What's your connection? What kind of setup are you running right now? Let me know so we can pinpoint this shiznit.

Could be that you need to turn the local setting off in your midi settings.
If you dont, you effectively trigger the note twice with a small delay, which sounds a bit like a slapback echo.
Just trying to look up the relevant info in a manual.
If this aint the problem then just tell me to shut up. Ha ha.

Charlie you were right, i turned off midi thru in cubase and the reverb went away! thanks!
