I'm past genre specificities now, I just see mixing as mixing these days, while genres have their methods, I see mixing as just one artform now. Its just making what you have to work with sound as good as it can.Always hate when it's some generic rock type person. I'm always like, who even makes or listens to that music these days? Feels like such an irrelevant aesthetic and mindset.
Room size was my consideration when I went with the 8's, my room is a reasonable size so wanted to move the extra air. Still ended up getting a focal sub one to get a good idea of what was going on in the low end, I think the IN-5's and a sub would be greatShout out Kali tho --- I'm actually considering pulling the trigger on the Kali IN-5s... I know you @2GooD Productions have the IN-8s.
Apparently there really isn't much difference between them, I like the idea of having the 8s, and it's only a small amount more for them. But I'm tempted to just go with the 5s. Reviews everywhere i see say they're way above their pricepoint, compete with speakers about just under double that.
Kali have released new speakers, similar to the IN series, Santa Monica "SM". But they're like double the price.
Might just wrap up these IN5s and get cracking --- oh I actually spoke with Kali themselves in5 vs in8, they basically said not much difference, the 8s may give a little more, but the 5s give good bass.
Yeah, I don't always like taking the room size thing into consideration, but kinda willing with the 5s as they reportedly get enough bass. On paper the spec is only 2hz shy of the 8s.Room size was my consideration when I went with the 8's, my room is a reasonable size so wanted to move the extra air.
