This is what I've been saying! These mixes today are too over the top, but it's interesting as he mentioned that the streaming services have changed everything as well. I mean, it's always hard to nail a really good mix but now we have to deal with streaming altering stuff as well.

Streaming has tamed the loudness war. CD sales are rapidly declining to the point that vinyl outsold CD's last year.I wonder if CDs are even a worth while expense in the internet age. Everybody just downloads or streams music now. With that in mind, being on top of the curve with regards to levels in the streaming age and the normalization of levels of various platforms is the way forward, IMO.
