I'm here. Nah, just kidding.

Sup everybody. ManDamyth is a little moniker I'm using on this site, I go by just Myth though.

I'm from Aurora, CO right next to Denver and I'm just entering the production game.
I just purchased a Roland MV-8000 that I'm going to use in tandem with a technic 1200 mlk turntable and a M-Audio Radium 49e keystation.

In the next couple of months I'll be getting a Motif rack and an Alesis Micron.

Thanks for welcoming me in advance.

Thats a hell of a setup man, make sure u take it slow and really learn the in's and outs of each piece of equiment. Its really easy to buy stuff u think need, then later on u find out u dont need it at all, this is espically true with beginners.

Welcome to illmuzik

Welcome to IllMuzik. Yeah, you can't go wrong with Technics! And of course the MV8000 looks dope, I still haven't checked it out yet.

Good looking out Classic. I read your interview, it was dope.

The motif rack and micron are something I may not get.

I plan on spending a lot of time doing nothing but learning my current set up. I have told myself 3 months of practice, no less.

I want the motif rack for the sounds but most of my production will be sample based.

Thanks Fade and Classic for welcoming me. I've been checking this site out for a minute now and I know you're both a big part of its great atmosphere.

Yea man the motif is definaly dope, but if your gonna be mostly sample based it may be best that u just spend the time learing your MV sampling machine. I heard you can do alot with that thing, i even heard it has realtime time strech!!!!

If u just start with an MV and a MIDI controller and some records, You will be set for a while!!!
