Turntable to Computer Problem

i got my turntable the other day, along w/ some double rca cables, to connect from my turntable into my pc (the front has rca holes), but when i try recording my samples into cool edit nothing happens. any suggestions? bet that up in advance

yeah you are going to need to get a preamp to power the turntable, you cant just plug your turntable into your computer, or you can get a dj mixer and plug your turntable into that and plug your mixer into your soundcard, hope this helps

Also make sure that 'line in' is checked in audio properties under recording.

yea I had that same problem but i bought a little mixer and use it to hook up the Turntable into it and then into my soundcard....it works Fine now
