what are the best headphones for mixing?
i know heads say NEVER MIX ON HEADPHONES, but if you did need to mix on phones, what is the best? most accurate? and shit.

i've heard the Sony mdr-v600 and mdr7506 are good, but i havent tested them myself.

im lookin for a new set, and any input will be appriciated.

peace

Well I own a pair of MDR-7506 and it's very dope. I mix all the time with them and the response is very good. The bass isn't too much like some headphones, so it won't fool your ears into thinking there's too much bass. But once you get a good pair and mix on them long enough, you'll get a good feel for them and get used to how they sound.

who said not to mix on headphones? i mix without headphones then i listen and make small changes with headphones........ headphoones make it real easy to hear small bits of static and high frequinces that you might miss with your regular speakers(due to my pounding subs)..i myself use the Sony mdv600(got off ebay for 40 bucks) and have no problem..dont get noise cancelation headphones though...and defintely dont mix your bass with headphones

i read in a few mags that mixing on headphones is the anti-christ.

i personally mix on the headphones i got (panasonic rp-ht355...dont laugh) cuz im still in the process of getting some nice monitors. i want some really accurate mahfuckas so i dont have to listen to my shit on a bunch of my friend's set ups to get a good mix.

anyone else use anything other than SONY?

one of my freinds said somethin about berringer? anyone use those?

if youve got enough money get Sennheiser HD 25. they are industry standard and are not only used by producers but also media crews n shit.

get them from microphonesolutions.com cos they will match the best price you can find.

they are fucking light and fucking loud and fucking clear and fucking comfortable.
