You will get a lot of mixed answers, mostly people saying the KRK's are best to start out with. Id go to the store and demo some if I were you.

Proverbs says "he who hasth no monitors should not comment"....lmao

Got to a store, check some out, then decide the best ones you can afford based on your budget. If holding out a few more months allowing you to stack more money would get you better, then do that. It all depends on your cash flow....u have to crawl before you can walk.

I personally started out with regular ole Cerwin Vega home stereo speakers...went to a $200 pair of monitor headphones from there to my first pair of Alesis One studio monitors....been thru a few since then but I have more money to play around with now so I can afford "really good" but not the best. Doubt if I'll ever get the "best", too many other things I'd get before that.

i went to the music shop and walked out with a pair of Tapco S-5's.they are great. i got em for 300. but one took a fall and had some scratches on it so i told the guy to give em to me for 300 instead of 350.

i would get those if you have enough money.
