whats the midi on CDX turntables??

I've got the numark cdx cd turntables and I noticed on the back of it there is a midi in and a midi out. Does anyone know what this can be used for? HOw would you use a turntable as a midi controller?

Its so sync an external midi device to the pitch of the cdx, you can hook it up to the second cdx so they remain in sync ( dj's are worthless these days ). But, of course, you can also hook it up to a mpc ( although the mpc would run in sync with the cdx ).

Its control is under the Interlock function.

Some people also use the midi to sync lighting systems to the music.

yeah, with an mpc you can control certain brands of scanners and roboheads, or software like resolume for veejays, which is dope too.
